Hello, I’m Laura Avery ⊹
I’m a visual artist and writer working from my home atelier in Landes, France. My work is an abstract take on acrylic painting.
Using muted colours and shifting forms to create artworks that feel soft, moving, and fluid, I’m interested in exploring themes of relationships, identity, and becoming. I believe that having visual cues to slow down helps us notice what is changing within us and feel more at ease with who we are becoming.
Self-taught, my style has been shaped by years living in Sydney and Copenhagen, and my writing work around lifestyle/interior for the press, including Stylist, Instyle, and Vogue Scandinavia.
Currently, my artwork is available for purchase here. I also offer private commissions and commercial collaborations for interiors, hospitality and other creative spaces.
